Ponca is located in the northeast corner of Nebraska in
Dixon County. The city is nestled in a valley two
miles from the banks of the Missouri River, a national recreational
river. The community is served by scenic State Highway
12, and U.S. Highway 20 is five miles south of the community. Ponca
is 24 miles northwest of Sioux City, Iowa, and 115 miles
north of Omaha, Nebraska.
